Help make equality practical.
ABLE begins with the experience and expertise of disabled people. There are many ways to use the framework in everyday life, in organisations and in public decision-making.
For disabled people
Share what helps you participate and what barriers remain, if and when you choose. Your experience is valuable, and you should be able to contribute in a way that works for you.
For organisations and communities
Use the four ABLE principles to review how people access information, services, spaces and decisions. Involve disabled people early, provide adjustments and check whether changes work in practice.
For decision-makers
Make participation accessible from the outset. Include disabled people in the design, delivery and review of policies and services that affect them. Explain how their contributions shaped the decisions made.
Start with one question
Who is unable to access, belong, exercise their rights or participate here—and what would remove that barrier?
